Suki Daisuki, Len-kun: Part 3

Len tilted his head as Negau and Rin came back downstairs. "What was that about?" he asked Negau.

"Nothing, Rin-san was just telling me a little bit…about some things…" Negau replied, letting her sentence trail off.

Len shrugged. "You don't have to tell me…I guess…"

The three of them walked downstairs. Just then, the doorbell rang.

"Koushi-sama? I'm back," said a voice from behind the door.

"It's Miku-nee!" Rin exclaimed, making Negau and Len jump. She ran to the door and unlocked it, then hugged the girl who was behind it so tightly that she nearly fell over. "Welcome home! Did you get your license?"

"I did, actually!" the girl replied. She had green hair tied in pigtails that reached her knees, and was wearing a gray vest with a green tie matching her hair. She had a black pleated skirt on with green trim, just like her arm warmers and boots. She had the number one printed on her shoulder the same way Rin had the number two on hers, and was wearing black headphones.

"Omigosh, congratulations!" Rin said to the girl, hugging her even tighter. The girl let out a gasp that sounded like she was getting the wind knocked out of her.

"O-Onee-chan, stop! You're suffocating Miku-chan!" Len said in a worried tone.

"O-oh! Gomen nasai, Miku-nee!" Rin jumped back, apologizing frantically.

"I-it's fine, just…don't do that again…"

"Miku-chaaan~! Have you met our newest addition?" Len asked in his uke way that Negau was so fond of now.

"N-new addition? What? Gosh, you're out for one hour taking a driver's test and you miss a lot!" The girl looked around, as if Negau was about to crawl out of a crack in the wall and say that she was the new addition.

"Yeah, here she is," Len said, indicating Negau. "Negau-chan, this is Miku-chan. Miku-chan, Negau Kagayaku-chan."

"It's really nice to meet you, Negau-san~!" Miku said, holding her hand out to Negau. Negau shook it slightly nervously as she said, "It's nice to meet you too."

"Soooo~, when did you get here? Do you have a room yet~?" Miku asked Negau curiosly.

"Just about ten minutes ago, actually," Negau replied. "I heard you were getting your license."

"Already did," Miku said, holding up a sort of ID card with Miku's picture on it.

"Miku Hatsune," she read out loud. "Driver license, 11397, Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan. Sex, female, hair, green, blah blah, etcetera, etcetera. Signature from the person who tested me."

"That's so great, Miku-nee!" Rin said, hugging Miku again, less tightly this time. Koushi stood up and walked toward Miku. "I'm really proud, Miku-san," he said, smiling down at the green-haired loid.

Miku smiled, half-gratefully, half-overwhelmed. "Guys, I appreciate all the attention, but I just got here. Could I have a couple minutes to myself…?"

Everyone backed away at once. "Of course!" they said simultaneously. With that, Miku walked upstairs to her room.

"Hey, Negau-chan," Len said, turning to Negau all of a sudden. "Tomorrow's Monday, ne?"

"Yeah, I think it is," Negau replied.

"Since you're living here now, we should get you enrolled in the school we go to," Len went on. "After all, we're pretty far from where you used to live, so we most likely go to separate schools…"

Rin snorted in the background and muttered something like, "Nerd."

Len shot a cold glance at his sister, then turned back to Negau. "So, what do you say?"

"O-of course, Len-kun! Like you said, I live here now…"

"Great! So, we'll get there early tomorrow and enroll you. Miku-chan can take us."

"Oh, so now I'm the one driving people around?" Miku called from upstairs.

"You get used to it," Koushi called back.

A small drop of sweat ran down Len's face. "Uhh, so…yeah. I guess we'll get you enrolled tomorrow."

"Alright~!" Negau exclaimed enthusiastically.
